The Most Colorful Shade of Grey

Grey advertising may be old but they've still got it. For the year 2012 they have been labeled as the number one agency. The agency has been famously effective since 1917 holding itself as an account management company. But, recently, Tor Myhren was hired as creative director and with him he brought a new angle. The agency is now kickin' butt with it's award-winning advertisements. Some of you may recall the E-trade Baby or the DirecTV commercials, the best one is with Charlie Sheen.

Consultants' from businesses said they chose agencies based on clients' brief, the clients' needs, and what the agency is being asked to do. The agencies underneath Grey include:
2. Wieden+Kennedy
3. Butler, Shine, Stern
4. Ogilvy
5. BBDO
6. CP+B
7. Deutsch
8. Martin
9. Droga5
10. Mullen

  2. Yes I remember these two ads vividly. I guess being in business for ages truly does pay off! I checked out Grey's website and wonder what does the greyhound dog represent on the business table?! Interesting

    1. Deanna I thought the greyhound picture you're talking about is a beautiful photo. The dog may connect on several levels. I'm guessing simply because "grey" is in the name and it is their mascot. It could also relate to their focus of "driving results while getting attention for our clients." Or their just trying to look like suave pimps.

  3. I've heard several commercials for local businesses use the same type of dialogue as the DirecTV with Charlie Sheen. It's very catchy and makes you laugh...causing you to most likely remember the company :)

    1. Very true. The copy in both commercials are genius. A great idea is always reused in other places. It usually works if it's done correctly.

  4. I love the e-trade baby! They must be trying to appeal to a much younger market!

    1. I'm guessing the target is couples who are just starting a family. But the comedy of it could connect to a younger crowd.
